We often have vacancies for travel clinic nurses. This is an interesting and responsible position in a specialist centre, and would suit a nurse interested in developing a career in Travel Medicine or with a strong personal interest in overseas travel. Prior specific experience or training in Travel Medicine would be helpful but is not essential - training can be provided. However we especially do value any experience gained overseas, either from working in the tropics or through extensive personal travel. We would also be interested in hearing from nurses with Occupational Health qualifications.
As you can see from this website, we are a multidisciplinary practice and there is ample opportunity to get involved in our other activities. We are also actively involved in providing workplace flu vaccination, nationwide, and in supporting our many corporate clients. We are a small, friendly team, and offer a stimulating and varied working environment with plenty of opportunity for personal development. Your visa status must allow you to work in the UK for at least one year, and excellent English language skills are required.

We are always interested in hearing from mature and reliable RGNs, able to work on a short contract (up to three months) or on a self-employed basis, carrying out flu vaccinations in the workplace.
The 'flu season' generally runs throughout October and November. The sessions are Mon-Fri and mostly within office hours. It is vital that you are punctual, well presented, and able to travel and work on your own. 90% of our clients are in London but there may be a requirement for you to travel, (by public transport) to other locations. There are no set or guaranteed hours - the workload is client-driven. However, we can very likely offer you full or half days as suits you. We pay an hourly rate and your travel costs incurred during a client visit will be reimbursed.
Please send your CV or details to fluadmin@flujabs.org with the email subject title FLU NURSE, or phone Michelle or Deborah on 020 7353 5678.
